Referral Info
The Family Start programme prioritises referrals for pregnant mothers, or caregivers with babies with increased need of extra support. This will empower them to achieve greater positive outcomes for pēpi and their whānau.
Referrals can be made to Family Start from the time the mother has her pregnancy confirmed until the baby is usually 12 months old, however all referrals will be considered.
To refer to Family Start please refer via the buttons at the top right of the page.
What will happen once my referral has been received?
A Family Start worker will contact you to arrange a time to visit you at home. They will have a discussion with you to help them understand the needs of your child and whānau and see if Family Start will be the best support for you and pēpi/baby.
